Legendum is a story-based Latin learning app that I’ve been working on. I did all of the animations myself, so they’re charming, but far from polished.
How do I try it?
Trying it out is very simple: just go to https://legendum.herokuapp.com/. Here you can create an account before getting started, so that when you play it saves your progress and you can add notes that you can then reference as you learn, or you can jump right in and start learning without creating an account!
In the beginning, you’ll find yourself in the underworld, where you’ll meet a fun character who makes you a genius. As a genius, you’ll be responsible for guiding a young Roman. To do this, you’ll have to learn Latin!
Once you’ve learned a few basic phrases, you’ll find yourself in a Roman home! Here you’ll meet the child whom you must advise and guide.
As you progress through the game, you’ll have help from a new friend: Enni!
The game is still in development. It will likely change as I receive more feedback from users, and of course, there is much more content to add. If you’d like to check out the first two chapters, and let me know what you think, I’d be super appreciative!
